Hittin' the slopes

This weekend should be a fun-filled, action-packed, exciting one. We get the whole thing started off with a LA Phil concert at the new Walt Disney Concert Hall. I've always wanted to see the LA Phil and since the new concert hall openend a couple years ago, that is a reason in itself to go.

On Saturday morning, we will get up and head up the Eastern Sierra. Saturday afternoon we will visit some friends who live in Bishop. On Sunday we will ski June Mountain, a sister resort to Mammoth. Then we'll come back home on Monday. With as much as a foot of new snow expected on Saturday, it should be great skiing. And this will be a little different experience than what we are used to. Every time we go to Lake Tahoe, we seem to get the same results. It is a holiday weekend with 10 million people there, and the snow storm of the year seems to hit on Monday as we are trying to leave town. This year should be different with a small storm coming on Saturday and clear skies for Monday.
