Still Alive

Did you miss me?

I finally got the motivation to put up another post. We got so busy there in August/September that eventually it became harder and harder to blog. It was too easy to not do it. I knew that I wouldn't feel right unless I tried to go back and play some catchup with the goings-on and pictures. And I'll get to that, but it will be incrementally I think, otherwise, it may take me a few hours. Recently, I've had a few people ask when I was going to update the blog. I had no idea people were so interested in our life. I mean, with everybody NOT leaving any comments, how could I tell, right? Anyways, so I'll get back to it and keep up with it.

I'm sure as I go through the pictures, they will jog my memory, but in the mean time here are some things that happened since August:

  • We spent a weekend in August at Mammoth courtesy of Laura's boss who owns a condo there. It was fun to do some more sightseeing. We saw Devil's Postpile a couple years ago. This time we checked out the lakes, volcanic formations, hot springs. I've got some neat panoramic pictures.
  • September saw football season start up again. This time was a little complicated having a baby. But you got to start them young, right?
  • October had more football. Also, I took a couple trips to Paso Robles for business. We were doing our first flight tests of new communication links for the Raven UAV.
  • November had even more football and another extended trip to Paso Robles. We went to Fresno for Thanksgiving were we decided to catch a flu bug. It started with Hannah before Thanksgiving, Laura had it on Thanksgiving, and I had after Thanksgiving. Fun!
  • In December, I spent a week in San Antonio doing some more testing work. The downtown river walk area is pretty neat. We hosted the Davidson Christmas at our house on the 23rd and then went to Fresno for a few days before coming back and enjoying the rest of our time off. The holiday ended with what else--more football, as we saw Fresno St win it's bowl game.
  • In January, Laura turned 29.
  • In February, on the 28th, Hannah turned 1. Can you believe that? We survived. We celebrated by having a party out house that was well attended. We have some neat pictures of Hannah having a birthday cupcake. And when I get some time and learn how to do it, we've got some video as well.
  • Lined up for this month, Laura just hosted a baby shower at our place for her best friend. This weekend we are going to Death Valley. I've got Jury Duty in a couple weeks. And on the 29th, we've got U-Verse Installation!

That's all for now. Drop me a note and show that you read this blog and it will keep me motivated!
