Rollercoaster

We are going through escrow on the house in Moorpark. That doesn't mean a whole lot. The entire deal is contingent on us selling our current home. While we are working at that, they can continue to entertain any and all offers. It has already happened once, but we lucked out. When they accept another offer, they give us 72 hours "to perform." After that period, they are free to cancel our agreement. Basically, we have 72 hours to accept an offer on our condo.

Our condo has been on the market for two and a half weeks. Selling is a new experience for us. We have to make the bed every morning. We have to keep the house spotless with no dishes in the sink. And the thought of people walking through your house without you there is a little strange, but we are getting more and more used to the idea. We did receive an offer on it Friday, but it was significantly lower than our asking price, and after countering, they decided to pass on it. Oh well, we will find the right buyer.

I started playing softball again last week. It is a lot of fun and with a good group of guys. We play every Thursday night in Thousand Oaks. This is my second season--I started last fall. On Sunday, we went to see Cirque Du Soliel. It was a wonderful show held under a tent in the parking lot next to the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Next Sunday we are going to Disneyland California Adventure for the first time.

That's all for now, we will keep you updated.
