Growing Up Fast

I don't know if I can say a whole lot has been going on lately. My birthday was June 15th. Again, nothing too exciting going on. My parents came down and spent 4 days with us. That was fun and everyone ate well and had a good time. We also celebrated Father's Day as well on Sunday. That day, my dad and I went to the driving range, watched the end of the US Open, and made ice cream.

This week, Hannah started eating solid foods. She went to the doctor on Monday. And because she is so active (she "scoots" and rolls over both ways) she is "petite". To help boost the calorie intake, the doctor recommended starting solid foods.

Saturday morning we leave for our annual week long fishing trip to Bridgeport. Looking forward to it. We'll see how much different it is with a kid, now.

Pictures Uploaded 6-6-07

I found another way to share photos. I like Flickr. Pretty cool all the features you can do with it. But unless you want to pay for a "Pro" membership, you are limited to the upload size and the number of pictures you can have posted. Over the last week, we have been working on getting a bunch of digital pictures of Hannah printed to go in her baby book, a photo album, etc. We decided to use Costco (which is run by Snapfish). I first took the original photos we wanted to print and I used a photo tool that came with MS Office to remove the redeye. I then uploaded all the files to Costco.com where we were able to crop different pictures and make some other adjustments. The pictures turned out pretty good. It was the first time I have had digital pictures printed. Personally, I could care less. View them on a computer, or an iPod, etc. Forget printing photos. But the wife wanted some printed.

It appears that Costco has no limit to what you can upload (not sure on that one). But, I was able to upload 247MB of photos no problem and now I can share them with you. You will have to register at the website. But if you want, you can have some of these printed as well.

New TV, Baby Pictures

Nothing too exciting going on here lately. We've been trying to get a few things done around the house the last few weekends.

We recently were able to upgrade our TV. We are "storing" Laura's parents 40" Sony Trinitron Wega. The replaced our 27" Toshiba. The TV has a HD tuner inside. So now, of course, thoughts are going thru our head on if we can afford that. Probably not for awhile. But at least we now have an HD-capable television. Because the TV is so large, we had to do some re-arranging. For the time-being, we moved the entertainment center to the Living Room. We are going to add a glass shelf to the TV area and try and use it as a wall unit. The TV went in to the corner. Aside from the fact that we don't get to use the nice entertainment center for what is was bought for, everything turned out for the better. The Family Room feels much larger. The entire couch is usable and there is more room for toys.

This past Saturday, we took Hannah to have her 3 month pictures made. I don't know what JC Penney's is thinking. When you set up an appointment for this, you plan everything around that appointment. Make sure the baby is well rested, and fed. You want her in the best mood possible. So when you show up, and wait around for an hour, things just won't turn out how you planned. Needless to say, it was hard to get some good pictures with Hannah smiling. From the time our appointment was to when we left, it was 2.5 hours! Absolutely insane.

I added some more pictures to the Flickr Photoalbum.
