19 Weeks and a New Home
Again, I have to apologize for it being over a month since the last post. What can I say except we have been very busy! That, along with the fact as I mentioned before, I can't post at work anymore, and we have not had our computer up and running with Internet access for a couple weeks. So, this is a quick update to let you know we are still alive. We have pictures to post when we get a chance.
First off, yes, we have moved! So long City of Angels, hello "Kraproom" (Moorpark spelled backwards). No more condo, HOA, sirens, smog, and 25 mile drive to work. Hello single family home, yard work, beautiful sunsets with cool ocean breezes, and 45 mile drive to work. We have been here (as of tonight) almost two weeks and we have a garage full of crap! We basically are functional on a day to day basis, but still have lots to do. The kitchen is about 95% together. We just had carpet installed in the bedrooms today, so we can continue with that. Both of us absolutely love it here. And, if you remember, Laura's parents are right around the corner. That has proved to be very handy.
The other big news is of course the little one growing inside Laura. Last Friday, Laura had another doctor appointment. This was a follow up to a special screening she had last month. This time was I guess one of those ultrasounds where they do a major checkup on the growth of the baby. She is currently 19 weeks along. Everything looks good. I don't want to call it a concern, but one small area of importance is they saw an area of "more dense" tissue on the heart. They see this a lot now in normal babies, but it also can be a sign of chromosomal problems. Everything else points to there being no problems, and we aren't concerned, but just something that is there. The other area of importance is that they were able to tell that we are having A GIRL! (subject to change).
Like I said, we have pictures to post of both of these events shortly.
Last weekend, we were both in the wedding of one of Laura's childhood friends. It was my first and probably only time of being in a wedding. Kind of different. The wedding was held at the Pepperdine chapel in Malibu and the reception was in Calabasas.
We are off to Fresno this weekend for another football game.
